3 Peaks and MTB racing

As the weekend weather turned extreme, Team Trisports headed for the hills with Darren Greene completing the iconic Yorkshire Three Peaks Race. Greene battled over the 23.5mile course, featuring 5,200 feet of climbing in some of the areas toughest terrain and taking in three of Yorkshires highest summits, finishing the classic fell race  in 4 hours 50 minutes.

Mic Clark and Keith Perry experienced the worst weather Essex could offer at the second round of the Mud Sweat and Gears Eastern  Region Mountain Bike Race Series. Set in the grounds of Hylands House the already tough course turned into a mud bath with sections of fast flowing water providing unusually testing conditions. Clark used his front row start to great effect finishing 12th overall in the Open Male event  in a time of 51:52 for the  2 laps of the 4 mile course. Perry also improved on his previous finishing position with a 26th overall in 57:19.

Many of the team were left high and dry at Bedford when the first sprint triathlon of the series had to be cancelled due to flooding on the bike course.
