BIRTHDAY REWARD FOR FORD

Steffan Ford celebrated his birthday weekend with his best result to date finishing 6th overall and 2nd in age group at the Llandudno Triathlon. The Team Trisports athlete battled  heavy seas and high  winds to finish on the promenade in 2:33:40

Chris Cotton also raced over the Olympic distance at Cholmondley in Cheshire in the Markel Castle Race Series finishing 18th overall in 2:42:23. The windy and wet hilly bike course was topped off with a muddy run to finish.

Still up north, Steve Rust was in action over the middle or half ironman distance in the A Day in the Lakes Triathlon. Poor weather conditions provided plenty of mud on the course adding to the test of tough climbs up Kirkstone Pass and Shap Fell. Rust finished in 7:24:57.

Down south Chris Baxter raced in the New Forest in the Boskman Triathlon over an unusual distance of 2.6k swim,120k bike and 22k run, finishing the event in 7:17:02 for 26th overall. The event did require extra  skills in fording rivers and avoiding roaming ponies

Brenda Bozwood Davies won her age group in the Northampton Sprint which was also weather affected with a flooded transition.

In midweek cycling action, Tony Shortland improved his 10 mile TT PB   to 27:14 with Greg Evans recording 26:54 in the Stevenage Event. At the Ashwell Midweek 10 Sean Bradley and Mike Russell were also in  PB form with times of 25:37 and 27:40
