Ironman veteran Adam Laycock flew the flag for Team Trisports in his debut 12 hour Time Trial event hosted by CC Breckland. Laycock (pictured) managed an impressive 251 miles in the 12 hour endurance event held around 50 and 20 mile circuits near Thetford for 11th on the day and a club record. The feat was even more remarkable as Laycock competed unsupported, having to stop to collect his own food and drinks at the designated feed stop.
The Cambridge Triathlon featured podium performances from Ian Mackerness, winner of the 45-49 age group and 9th overall in a time of 2:08:24 and also a silver for Mark Harris in the 25-29 age group who recorded the fastest 10k run split of 37:0 with an overall time of 2:15:42.
Further afield, 2011 Club Champion Helen Shulver was rewarded for season long good form with a 4th at the Allerthorpe Classic Triathlon. Competing over the standard or Olympic distance, Shulver bettered her time from last year by 10 minutes to finish in 2:23:36.
