Team Trisports completed the third and final round of their club championship at the MK Triathlon this past weekend.

The event, which also acted as the English Standard Distance Championships, saw its athletes deliver some fantastic results in an ultra-competitive environment.

Stellar performance of the day went to Elodie Levis (pictured) who finished 3rd in the F40-44 Age-Group in a time of 2:31:05.

Also showing great form, Rob Wilson and Helen Shulver became standard distance club champions, to add to the middle-distance championship titles they earned earlier in the month at the same venue, as they crossed the line in 2:04:03 and 2:23:47 respectively.

Wilson’s time was good enough to see him finish first for the club, a superb 25th overall and record a new PB for the distance by 5:18, setting the fastest bike leg of the day in the process.

Full results: Rob Wilson (2:04:03), Ian Mackerness (2:06:51), Simon Shaw (2:13:20), Mark Harris (2:13:38), Pete Ryan (2:13:54), Richard Melvern (2:21:58), Helen Shulver (2:23:47), James Cox (2:27:19), Steve Moakes (2:31:01), Elodie Levis (2:31:05), Tony Ward (2:32:19), Anna Holden (2:32:20), Andy McPherson (2:34:42), Tony Shortland (2:35:19), Richard Thomas (2:35:19), Naomi Woodland (2:36:53), Drew Lowrie (2:39:10), Andrew Chadwick (2:39:11), Mark Malone (2:42:05), Tim Smith (2:42:10), Paula Adams (2:42:56), Ed Manson (2:43:58), Jackie Perry (2:45:29), Alyson Sprawson (2:58:03), Liz Wood (3:04:00).

Elsewhere at Ironman UK, there was double cause for celebration as Gary Smith set a new club record for the event as he set about tackling the epic race distance of 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile full marathon run in a time of 10:42:49.

There was also a great result for Dave Welch, who showed tremendous courage just one week after failing to finish his debut Ironman as he crossed the line in a time of 12:06:55, and more importantly heard the immortal phrase “you are an Ironman!.”

Elite Athlete Stephen Harrison was in action at the Virgin Active London Triathlon on Sunday and crossed the line in 1:51:43 to finish 16th in the pro race and finish an excellent 10th in the Elite Super Series.

And finally, Mark Young stayed in continental Europe after his Ironman event in Germany last weekend to take on the iconic Alpe D’Huez Triathlon and set a time of 2:58:00.
