EARLY SEASON FORM BODES WELL!

Athletes from Hitchin-based triathlon club Team Trisports ensured that their performances went forward with the clocks at the weekend as they showed some great form at a variety of events.

First up; Mark Harris secured a fantastic finishing position of 14th overall at race two of the Big Cow Duathlon at Emberton Park on Sunday.

His time of 1:17:06 was enough to cover the race distance of 5km run, 20km bike and 5km run ahead of nearly one hundred of his rivals.

It was a case of ‘lucky 13’ for Pete Ryan, also on Sunday, as he set a storming time of 2:07:30 to finish 13th overall out of nearly 800 competitors at the Oakley 20.

Also competing was Darren Greene, who used the race as part of his marathon preparations and recorded a time of 2:40:10 in the process.

And finally from two feet to two wheels, Ian Mackerness took part in the Icknield Sporting 30km Cycle Time Trial on Sunday and crossed the line in 49:39 for a finishing position of 22nd overall.
