Cuffley based triathlete Gemma Sargent kicked off her multi sport season with a 4th in the women’s race at Milton Keynes Big Cow duathlon. The FVS TRI athlete completed the 4.5k run/16k bike/4,2k run in 1:10:48. Gemma competed in the Age Group World Duathlon Championships last year at Rimini and warmed up this year with a duathlon as she prepares for her first season of triathlon.
Steffan Ford was first home for the club in his debut duathlon finishing in a time of 1:03:53 for 17th overall and 10th senior male with Darren Greene starting his season with a 1:12:26

Ironman Robbie Laughton focussed on just the run part of his event this weekend with a 3:49:26 at the Draycote Water Marathon for 44th overall
Alex Turner and Mic Clark took on the North Road Hard Riders 25 mile cycle time trial to open their seasons and recorded 1:12:37 for 44th and 1:17:10 for 58th respectively for the undulating course.
New member Andy Chatterton finished the Whyte Winter Mountain Bike Series with a 35th at Brandon Park Thetford Forest finishing to secure a top 30 finish overall in the series
