FVS TRI fielded 4 teams in the 11th  Hereward Relay, a 4 stage  multi terrain race over 37.6 miles between the two cathedral cities of Peterborough and Ely. The 4 stages  were completed by 120 teams in the most diverse weather conditions ranging from snow blizzards, through hail and rain to bright sunshine. The FVS TRI Men’s A team (Tim Gilbert/Steffan Ford/Gerry Corrance/Mike Bridge) were 20th in an overall time of 4:38:33. The Women’s Team (Gemma Sargent/Lesley Dutton/Jackie Perry/Kate Turner) were 56th  in  5:07:23  overtaking the Mixed Team (Suzy Hawkins/Kevin Ash/Drew Lowrie/Simon Douglas)on the last leg who finished in 57th in 5:09:50. The Men’s B Team (Tony Shortland/Darren Greene/Steve Mussett/Paul Dutton)were 96th in 5:35:49.

Ian Ellery and Neil Coombs completed the Borden Saab Salomon Turbo X 16K off road challenge in 1:31:38 and 1:33:11 respectively.

Also off road at the weekend was Nina Pitcairn who completed the Merrell Mudman Duathlon in 2:47:24 for the 7.5k off road run(44:18) 15k mountain bike (1:16:38) and 7.5k off road run(46:28)
