FVS TRI’s Kerri Renshaw and Suzy Hawkins finished their triathlon seasons in style to take 1st and 3rd in the Bedford Sprint Series. Kerri won the overall series with an age group win on the day and 4th overall in 1:15:49 for the pool based sprint. Suzy was 3rd in the Series with a 4th in the same 30-34 age group on the day in a time of 1:19:56. The 3 race Series which started in sunshine in May and finished in the rain in October was supported by Letchworth based TRISPORTS and they provided the winner Kerri with a set of carbon wheels and Suzy with a race saddle for their series result. This marked the end of a remarkable first FVS TRI season for Suzy who earlier in the summer won the silver age group medal in the ETU Long Course event showing a talent for both sprint and long course distances.
Newest member Rob Davies completed his first ever triathlon finishing the 400m pool swim, 24k bike and 5k run in 1:24

David Parsley ran the Great North Run in an official time of 2:06. This did however include a prearranged interview with the BBC as David and daughter Jess were running on behalf of Lupus Trust in support of his other daughter Charlotte, The delay meant a comfortable sub 2 hour running time and they are all pleased!
Pete Timmins competed in the XTT off road triathlon in Camberley finishing in 2:58:16 for the 1500m lake swim,24k mountain bike and 10k cross country
